Tied House - Chicago Restaurant

Tied House restaurant is a new two-story development in Lakeview suburb of Chicago located next to the neo-gothic Chicago landmark, Schubas Tavern.  The team at Gensler headed by project architect Lee Greenberg, designed a German renaissance style brickwork on the face of the new building to blend the new and old buildings in a complementary yet dramatic look.

The open space between the buildings is turned into a rustic outdoor dining room, complete with an outdoor fireplace and covered with 4 rows of Infinity Canopy bridging the new and old buildings. The canopies featuring Phifertex Plus fabric in Metallica Platinum accentuate the space while providing effective, retractable shade for Tied House patrons.
